ThumbPrint Art
This painting shows a fingerprint garden where the flowers are children's thumbprints. This work inspired our second grade students to make gardens of their own. They used sponges to layer in the colors of the background. Next, they used acrylic paints to paint stems, leaves, and small flowers in the background. Lastly, they used various fingers to print or paint the flowers in the garden. I also had the students draw black centers to their flowers with sharpie to finish the works. This example came from Erin Joslyn Fine Art on Pinterest.
