Vincent Van Gogh
The fourth grade have been studying the life and work of Vincent Van Gogh. The body of work they created was inspired by Van Gogh’s painting shown above. For this project, the students created a simple box pop-up from two pieces of paper. Students then drew a chair onto the card using his painting as a reference and were offered a variety of mediums with which to add color. Once completed, the pieces of paper were glued together and mounted onto a piece of black card stock. Thanks to Use Your Coloured Pencils for inspiring this idea. Here is another step-by-step lesson from ART with Mrs. Smith's website.
